Our commitment to ethical AI
Extending human connection, not replacing it

A human-first philosophy
Building revolutionary technology demands clear ethics. At Tavus, we embrace the idea of “making technology human,” and do so with transparency, fairness, accountability, and oversight. We are a proud team of scientists, researchers, and artists committed to the responsible stewardship of AI.
AI is for everyone
Innovation dies when it's reserved for the privileged few. That’s why Tavus offers a free platform option to ensure everyone can experiment, build, and grow with our technology. Our models are built to support diverse, inclusive representation, across voices, faces, and content.
At Tavus, we believe AI should extend humanity, not replace it.
Our technology isn't built for replacement use cases, like choosing Tavus instead of hiring a person. To date, there are no serious replacement cases using Tavus technology. Instead, our customers choose us to extend the human reach further.
How? Use cases like:
- Seniors receiving personalized attention, even when their loved ones can't be present
- Language learners practicing with an AI persona in a larger curriculum
- Job-seekers participating in realistic, contextual mock interviews on-demand, receiving a scorecard afterwards
- Students practicing any lesson with an AI tutor
- Product users conversing naturally with virtual IT specialists trained on all docs and subject matter
- And many more
This is where Tavus shines: Making human care, warmth, and empathy more accessible.
AI and the environment
We recognize that AI comes with responsibility. Tavus is made by human beings—friends, families, parents—who care deeply about the future we're creating. That's why we're committing to supporting causes that safeguard the planet, advance ethical AI governance, and promote human well-being.
As part of this commitment, we contribute regularly to organizations tackling climate change, food sustainability, conservation, and ethics.
Some of the groups include:
- Clean Air Task Force, for climate technology and decarbonization
- The Good Food Institute, for sustainable food and agriculture
- Rainforest Connection, for environmental monitoring and conservation
- Centre for the Governance of AI, for ethical AI policy and governance
This is just the beginning. As Tavus grows, so will our commitments to ensure technology creates a future we're proud of.
